BIM Modeler

Key Responsibilities

• Modeling and Documentation: Develop and maintain 3D BIM models to support design and construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

• Coordination and Clash Detection: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform clash detection, resolving conflicts across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.

• Model Management: Maintain and update project BIM models, ensure adherence to BIM standards, and manage file structure for effective version control.

• Drawing Production: Generate detailed construction drawings, layouts, and schedules from the BIM models.

• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate and coordinate designs, ensuring that project specifications are met.

• Quality Control: Conduct model checks to ensure precision, completeness, and adherence to standards and project requirements.

• Documentation and Standards Compliance: Document workflows, processes, and model standards. Ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 4-5 years of professional experience in BIM modeling, ideally in [specific industry, e.g., architecture, engineering, construction, etc.].

• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency with BIM software, including:

  • Revit: Modeling, family creation, and parameterization

  • Navisworks: Clash detection and 4D simulation

  • AutoCAD and other industry-specific BIM tools

• BIM Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with industry BIM standards, such as ISO 19650 or local regulations.

• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying and addressing model inconsistencies or conflicts.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with a variety of stakeholders and document BIM processes.
