CAD API DEVELOPER

Key Responsibilities

• API Development: Develop, customize, and integrate CAD applications using CAD APIs (e.g., ObjectARX, Autodesk Revit API, SolidWorks API).

• Tool Development: Create custom plugins, scripts, and tools to automate repetitive tasks, improve productivity, and meet specific project needs.

• Technical Support: Provide technical support to users by troubleshooting CAD-related issues and implementing enhancements.

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of developed applications, including installation, usage, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, designers, and project managers, to deliver solutions aligned with project requirements and client needs.

• Code Optimization: Ensure code quality, reusability, and performance optimization through testing, debugging, and review processes.

• User Training: Conduct training sessions for users on custom applications and tools as needed.

• Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 4-5 years of professional experience with CAD software development, including the use of APIs.

• CAD API Proficiency: Strong experience with one or more CAD APIs, such as:

  • AutoCAD: ObjectARX, AutoLISP, .NET API

  • Revit: Revit API, Dynamo for Revit

  • SolidWorks: SolidWorks API

  • [Other industry-specific CAD APIs as relevant]

• Programming Languages: Proficient in C#, .NET, C++, or Python.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing workflows and automating complex tasks.

• Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
